For over a decade I've lived the tension this community is built around: a career I genuinely love, a creative practice I fiercely protect, and the constant negotiation between the two.

I'm a senior marketing strategist by profession. Thirteen years in corporate, and counting, has taught me that the people who last, who actually build something real, are almost never the loudest or the hardest. They're the ones who figured out how to stay human while doing serious work.

That figuring out for me happens in a Tae Kwon Do dojang at 35, back in uniform, deeply humbled by teenagers in red belts. It happens on a yoga mat I've been returning to since I was 18, the one place that's always been mine. It happens in front of a canvas at midnight processing what words can't reach. It happens in a movie I watched for the hundredth time and still found something new in. It happens in a book I wasn't expecting to teach me anything, until it did. And honestly? It happens on long walks with my husband Chad and our two dogs, when the best ideas show up uninvited.

The Simmer Method isn't a program. It's the practice of noticing leadership lessons in places you'd never expect to find them. A book. A film. A conversation. Whatever life happens to be teaching you, if you slow down enough to catch it.

I'm not standing outside this experience handing you tools I've read about. I'm someone who is still figuring it out, sharing what I find along the way.

You're welcome here.
